No Woman, No Cry..!!!

Well, here I am again, after recieving anonymous comment on dis 'SO-CALLED' controversial blog of mine, I'm reposting it. Now again, a sincere appeal to all my GAL-frenz, m not criticizing WOMEN as a whole, m juz sharing my views with yall openly and I truly mean NO harm as such to anyone. This is dedicated to d bunch of those bitchy babes out there who lack feelings n emotions in them and believe in hurting people for their pleasure.
d topic is 'Women', a symbol of love, purity, domesticity and morality...a pious figure in our Hindu mythology...but with all d evolution going around, would u like to define a 'Woman' with d same adjectives?? emmm...truly speaking I won't..!! now, m not being a male chauvinist here, n neither m I pointing finger at d whole feminine race...but I am referring to those deceptive n deceitful women of dis era, who lack emotions n feeling to understand how a human heart work..!! pardon me for using such strong words, but don't you agree dat nearly all r'ships starts with a hidden factor..?? however, with d time, things may get revealed but few may still stay buried...d bottom-line is dat, usually d base of every r'ship is based on a lie, a false image, people tend to show themselves clean n clear and absolutely pure of hearts...which I think, is as good as cheating on d other person..!! what say??
I cud still recall my childhood days and d hit Bob Marley song dat time, "No Woman, No Cry"... n often I use to wonder as to what exactly it means...!! but for whatever it is, all I can make it out is dat, if there would have been no women, there would have been no pain, no heartbreaks n eventually no cries..!!
Strange but true, women nowadays are turning out to be more dishonest, untrustworthy n flirtatious, and with pride they call themselves AMBITIOUS or rather CONFIDENT...thanks to our modern-age series like "Sex and d City" n "Desperate Housewives", from where they usually draw their inspiration..!! and thanks to d higher male population ratio than to female...they always have this common belief of not being starved, and dat there will always be a better guy available for them...I can list here umpteen number of cases where a guy and his emotions have been hurt countless number of times, without realizing of what all he's been thru..!! without realizing his work tensions, financial n domestic problems...!!!now again, no offence to d whole female majority, those who are being pointed out here are very well aware of their deeds...
So what if there is higher male population..!! who says ours is a male dominated society..?? I'll say we are enjoin' an equal status here and dat day is not very far when it will be a female dominated world..!!! now don't be shocked here...can't u observe d changes in our society?? with men attending regular facial n beauty sessions, growing their hair and wearing much bigger and fuller length clothes and wrapping a rich embroidery 'Dupatta' (Indian scarf) along their neck and gurlz opting for a short-crop hairstyle and wearing jeans, trousers n other revealing clothes, what's in store for us next..!!?? So, there is an honest appeal to all brothers out there…dare not to address the female race as d 'Weaker' or 'Fairer" sex.. women nowadays are as rugged n strong as men use to be once..!!! anywayz, d point here is dat, regardless of all these changes, how cud a human being be so hard hearted against sumone else's emotion n feelings..!! howcome a usual understanding feeling is being missed out..!!! do such gurlz find men juz an object of desire?? or merely a time-pass?? it seems so...!!coz when it comes onto making a boyfriend, they get ready almost instantly, but when d question of tying a knot is concerned, they suddenly seem to get so choosy...!! and probably dat is why by the time d gurl is ready for marriage she ends up having more boyfrends than her age. infact u won't believe, I came across a couple of gurlz who use to rate men on a scale of 5 (its like giving stars to a movie) juz to find a PMM (perfect marriage material).. I wonder if they ever gather d courage to measure themselves on d same scale..!! anywayz, d criteria to be a PMM are:
1. Is he good looking? (there are subdivisions under dis criteria, which includes his height, built, complexion, etc. usually a tall, dark, handsome (TDH) hits a bull's eye here)
2. Is he well settled n how much he earns? (includes his inheritance, house n living style. usually a foreign settled, earning in atleast 8 figures per annum appreciated)
3. Whats his family status? (usually a guy staying away from parents or a single son get 100% marks, a joint family is a BIG NO...!!)
4. He had a past relationship? (actually its kinda hard to score here, but a dumbo, with no past r'ship and purrrrfect virgin rulez dis spot)
5. How's his personality? (well ofcourse d guy shud be presentable so dat he cud be shown off, but other than dat, can he manage d house work, like cooking, laundry, cleaning dishes, taking care of kids, etc)
And no matter how good you score here, there will always be complains…so you should be able to be calm n well composed to handle all dat, n try your best to rise up to HER expectations..!! The main point is, besides being a true n faithful lover n probably d best boyfriend, howcome d same guy doesn't fit appropriate as a hubby..!!? why suddenly such a sweet r'ship turns out to b a mistake?? why there are heartbreaks?? why there is so much of pain around..why..why..why??? *sigh*
I still don't know what Bob Marley was thinking while composing dat song...but surely, if there wud have been NO WOMEN.. there wud have NO CRIES...!!!

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna – the movie on relationship n its complexities; marriage n infidelity…!!!

Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (KANK), the movie by Karan Johar, which has been surrounded by immense criticism, deals with d sensitive issue of relationship & its complexities; marriage & infidelity. The other day, I was reading d reviews on d movie n there has been mixed feelings associated with it. Most of the Indian crowd doesn’t seem to be very happy with its climax; however, the movie is doing quite well abroad. This makes me wonder as to why we're so fond of happy endings!!? Are we still living in a fantasy world?? Are we matured enough to face d reality?? Why can’t we be practical n accept d fact that life’s not as sweet as it seems to be..!! Well, as for me, I loved d movie but it did raised many questions into my mind.

I asked to myself as to what a ‘Relationship’ is? Is it merely a connection between two or more people or there is more into it?? Why do we tend to fall for someone & why we feel attracted towards him/her? Is it wrong to keep certain hope n expectations from those with whom we are involved..!!?? We human beings search for happiness all over and like to share our love n feelings with someone really special. But besides being deeply involved with that person we often tend to get into some sort of difference in opinion, n eventually clashes occur. Now it depends how serious d conflict is, but whatever the case maybe, is it right to break apart?? Is it right to betray d person with whom we were so closely attached?? How come, d ‘special’ person turns out to be ‘not so special’ all of a sudden??

When we talk of married couples, such sort of differences often leads to infidelity (where d person engages in a relationship with another, violating d characteristics of d marriage). Simply stated, marriage is a commitment to seek mutual fulfillment, to make our own satisfaction contingent on our spouse’s. However, infidelity is the result of disillusionment or disappointment with d marriage, and lack of understanding regarding what to do about it.

Obviously, infidelity is always destructive & fatal to a marriage. Discovering d betrayal and anticipating d potential loss of d person most important in our life causes great distress. Unlike d trauma of death, which has an end, infidelity undermines all that is good in a relationship and d pain seems to have no natural end point. Although not welcomed, death is to be expected at some point or d other, betrayal is not..!! The victim of betrayal often questions if the spouse ever loved him, and if so, what he might have done to lose it.

So, what's d key to successful relationships? What are the simple things we need to know to deepen our partnership & make our relationship work? Now, I am not some sort of a GYAN GURU (expert), and neither did I ever had a super successful relationship, but with the time, I have noticed things & learnt stuffs, and surely I can list out few points which may prove useful for a relationship to work out well:

  1. Time is one of d important factors. Without quality time, no relationship will ever survive. The couple should devote appropriate amount of time to be spent exclusively with each other.
  2. Security n comfort plays important part too. A good relationship is built on compromise & a great deal of give n take on both sides.
  3. Keep d dependence and independence in balance. Tell and show your partner how much you need him, but don't make him/her feel trapped.
  4. Encourage him to listen to you, by showing appreciation when he does. Show interest when he talks to you & learn to do the thing that is most likely to restore good feeling in a relationship - give a genuine, loving and approving smile.
  5. If something bothers you, say it, solve out your differences n try to find solutions. If necessary, then negotiate. State what you want and then work together to find a way forward.
  6. Learn that punishing partner doesn’t work. It may make you feel better to give him a hard time, but it will actually irritate him/her more. Remember that forgiving n forgetting things is d most handy tool for a successful relationship.
  7. Money maybe one of the cause of couple conflict. For a relationship to work, it is essential to work out a budget n plan out things accordingly.
  8. Make a list of the domestic tasks, talk it through & mobilize d whole family, in order to share d work fairly.
  9. Accept the things that won't change. Some characteristics about your partner are there for life - and you have to face that. After all, nobody’s perfect..!!
  10. Research suggests, we need five positive experiences to erase the memory of one negative experience. So give five kind words for each bitchy comment. Give five hugs for each cold shoulder.

TATTOOS..!!!

The other day I was talking to a friend of mine and during our conversation, she pointed out that by looking at my pix, anyone can say I’m kind of a ‘narcissist’ (self- loving person), and I wonder as to why she said it..!!?? She pointed out on my tattoo n d way I’m trying to show it off in d pix.

Ok, so what I have a tattoo engraved on my arm, so many other people have it too..!! I mean its just some sort of a body art. And body art has been evident into our human race for ages, insignificant of the race n culture; in d form of decoration, ornamentation, or reshaping of the human body. And people have marked their bodies with tattoos almost everywhere in the world at one time or another. As evidenced by mummified remains discovered in Europe, Egypt, Siberia, and elsewhere, the practice has been around for thousands of years. Even in India, the tradition of writing d person’s name on the forearm has been on for ages..!!

Tattoos have meant different things to different cultures: For some people a tattoo promised invincibility in war, for some tattoos protected against sickness or misfortune, for some they offered safe passage into heaven or the afterworld, and for some they furnished a visible badge of rank or of membership in a certain group. Tattoos have been used to mark prisoners and society's outcasts. They can serve as a way of advertising one's emotional (or philosophical) attachments. Most commonly, however, tattoos have been and still are used for decoration.

Pacific Islanders have worn tattoos for hundreds of years. (In fact, the word "tattoo" comes from the Tahitian tatau). Definite evidence of the use of tattoos in ancient times has been found in various parts of the world….
Until the advent of Christianity tattoos were commonplace in Europe. They were banned by the church and had virtually disappeared when they were "rediscovered" by European sailors who came into contact with American Indians and Pacific Islanders. Some explorers returned home wearing tattoos; they also brought back drawings of decorated islanders and Indians.

Over the time, tattoos were favored largely by society's rougher members—soldiers, sailors, bikers, criminals, laborers, punks. By the mid-1990s tattoos had largely shucked their old criminal or counterculture associations and had generally come to be considered a form of personal expression or style.

In recent years tattooing and other forms of body art, such as piercing, have surged in popularity. In fact, they are kind of a chic fashion accessory nowadays. From a huge sized tribal tattoo on shoulders to d barb wire on biceps and from a simple flower to other designs on various parts of d body, tattoos are getting famous both among men n women. Nonetheless, tattoos remain a symbol of rebellion and defiance for many. And that’s why, people who think such a symbol might cause trouble at the office are careful to have tattoos only on parts of the body that can be easily covered by clothes.

PS- Anyways, for those who can’t make out clearly as to what exactly has been carved out on my arm, it’s a dagger (for God’s sake don’t say it’s a CROSS, even though it luks like one..!!). Actually I wished to have a twine around this dagger and a rose at its tip, but alas..!!! I’ve done enough to freak out those who are near n dear to me. Can’t afford to try anything else..!!!

Life Sucks..!!!

What is LIFE?? Is it a struggle?? Why is it so difficult to change things that we did?? Why is it not as easy as a simple click of mouse on UNDO button..!!?? Why do we repent after committing a mistake??
Is it bad to be ambitious?? Is it wrong to keep certain hope n expectations?? And if we don’t keep certain amount of hope/ expectation and ambition is us, we end up being stuck in what we are. Sometimes we fight to change ourselves, but ultimately this has little effect. We can change what we do, but we cannot change who we are. So we struggle with all these problems year after year, and when we get nowhere, we wonder if anything will ever change. And the unavoidable reality that comes onto one’s mind is life sucks..!! But then also, we don’t give up so easily, we keep struggling to solve our problems, to bring changes, to find happiness, wherever it is, whatever it is. This could be compared to an ant lifting a heavy weight and climbing up d wall, and no matter how many times she may fell down, she will re-start her mission to reach to the destination n maybe d next time she opts for a different way to her destination..!! So what do we learn out of it?? The moral of the story is “Life has more to do with how we deal with crisis than what the crisis is”.
Actually what I believe is that, “You can live your life to the fullest or you can waste it, it’s all up to you”. By now, you must be probably wondering why I have such an outlook on life. If you aren't wondering this, please do so now, before continuing. Actually, life sucks, only if you’ll let it to. All you got to do is to be an optimist and try harder, no matter how difficult the task may be or how many times you’ve been unsuccessful..!! Just don’t give up. Learn to live, love n lead life with passion.
You may be passing through enormous amount of tensions and problems. It maybe regarding your job n work field..!! Maybe you’re on d journey to the Valley of the Shadow of Debt. It could be regarding your family matters or other domestic problems. Your soul-mates, whom you trusted the most, may have turned their back on you, especially when you needed them d most..!! Sickness or disease may try to incapacitate you. You maybe were passing through the worst situation of your life… If you need to cry, then cry. If you need to scream out in rage or frustration, then scream. If you need some place to mend your wounds, then go there. But do not allow those painful experiences to strip you of your dreams and ambitions.
All you got to do is to bring that positive outlook in you and believe that it’s just a temporary phase and that you are for sure going to do great ahead..!! Always keep this in mind “No matter what happens to us, someone, somewhere is enduring a far greater test”. In this way, you will find yourself in a much better position. Ultimately, every experience prepares us for the next challenge that lies ahead. Learn to find the silver lining.
As the common saying goes “Learn from your Past, Look towards your Future and Live in your Present”, don’t spend your valuable time brooding over past mistakes and people who hurt your feelings, just keep in mind the lessons learnt from a particular experience, plan accordingly for your future, and continue your journey on the rough road of life. Obsess over this moment and how you'll live in it without regret. I say Suck Life before Life Sucks you.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

It’s been more than 2 years since FRIENDS last episode was aired on NBC in May’ 04. However, channels in India like Zee Café and Star World keep repeating it. The strange thing is that, no matter how many times we tend to see, it always seem to be as interesting as first time. And I wonder if there will ever be any series of this kind in India…Well, for the time being there are a lot of hit Indian television series hitting the screens which are very well popular, not only in India but around our neighboring countries as well, but they have not been able to achieve that ‘Global’ status, probably coz its been targeted for our Indian audience who likes to have more drama into their lives. And definitely they are all not of a kind of youngsters’ series. So what say?? Having so much of young population here in India, don’t you all feel the need to have a kind of series like FRIENDS as well…!!??
Truly speaking I really can’t understand as to what Indian audience like?? Even though I’m not much into "SAAS-BAHU" series, but I’ve caught a glance on it and I find it so damn peculiar. They always have this strange sound bursting on the screen especially when the camera zooms into ones face. I mean, obviously its good to show the facial expressions of the artist, but have u ever counted the number of times they do the same thing of zooming camera, if not on d same then on different characters!! And every time they do such a thing, there is this strange sound accompanying it..!! Last night I was having a stroll alone at around 9pm, and while walking on the street I could hear the same noise from so many houses..!! Now, at the same time, so many people can’t go hard of hearing. Then what was that all about..!! Do they increase the volume to get an additional feel of the character’s emotion or is it for those who can’t catch up with that episode due to some work..!! Strange eh...!!!
Second thing I can’t get is how come a character grows old overnight..!! I mean few episodes back they all look young, and after few episodes their hair grows grey and they get their grandchildren running around..!! It’s not practical at all..!! I mean you compare it with FRIENDS, 10 years, 10 seasons, the stars grew up with the show, and the series didn’t loose its excitement at all..!! Absolutely amazing…!!
Even though there are a lot of foreign adaptation in our Indian entertainment industry, like say for example Fear Factor (Indian Edition), Aaditya Birla’s Business Baazigar (adapted from Donald Trump’s-Apprentice), Jet Set Go (inspired from Amazing Race), Kaun Banega Crorepati (Who wants to be a Millionaire), music contests like Saa Re Ga Ma n Indian Idol (inspired by American Idol), etc. I think there should be some comedy like FRIENDS too having natural humor and targeting Indian young crowd..!! They should catch a group of young talented artist and make them grow among themselves on the set..!! In that way there will be emotions associated and they will act naturally..!! What say..!!??
Anyways, for those who have no idea as to what FRIENDS is all about; let me give u a brief summary… Lets start with the introduction, looking at the picture above, from left to right, its Ross Geller (David Schwimmer), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Monica (Courteney Cox), Chandler (Matthew Perry).. It’s a show about six friends in New York as they navigate their way through life and learn to grow up as they approach the third decade of their life.
Monica is the excessively neat and organized "older sister" of the group, who works as a chef while yearning to find her ideal love. Ross, Monica's older brother, is a paleontologist with a lifelong crush on Rachel. He is a laid-back man with low self esteem and a recent divorcee. Rachel is the pretty, bubbly girl who spent most of her life as a spoiled rich princess. Now she must learn to face the real world. Chandler is Ross' college buddy and the guy who will crack jokes at a moment's notice. Phoebe is a loveable eccentric masseuse who easily could have fit in with Haight Ashbury in the 1960s. And Joey, the friend who has an inverse relationship between his good looks and his intelligence. He dreams of becoming an actor. All combined, these six individuals make up "Friends". Overall, it’s a great series, one of its own immortal kinds..!! Nothing possibly could be compared to it. Think I’m exaggerating now!! Anyways, do watch it, recommended from my side. And yeah, if you don’t happen to like it, then please don’t blame or curse me..!! It’s just that you’re not having the same taste as mine..!!

Itz Play-Time...!!!

Well, here I am, after passing anonymous comment on others blog, this is d first time I'm sharing my views with yall openly.
Lately...don't know why, but I've been pretty dull...probably coz of my monotonous lifestyle..!! its been really hard to pass time until one fine day a friend of mine gave me few comp games n told me to try 'em on...now, to be very true, I'm not a huge game freak, but surely I do enjoi 'em...last what I can recall is playing 'Medal of Honor' nearly an year back...actually I was playing its last stage during my transit period at Frankfurt airport and there was dis fat bearded German sitting next to me...how could I forget his scary staring look at me while I was busy killing d Nazis rite in front of his eyes.. :o)
Anyway, its been 7 long days n 6 sleepless nights when finally yesterday I managed to cross all d stages of 'Hitman -2'...its been a real exciting game, catching up with d story of Hitman-1 they have shown Agent 47 (whose our hero) spending his leisure time at a cathedral in Sicily.. he has taken his retirement and most of his enemies think he's dead... but then a local mafia Don Guiliano kidnapped his friend Father Vittorio, forcing our hero to return back from his exile...
The game animation is really nice... the production team has really worked hard to show beautiful n exotic locations of Japan, Russia, Malaysia, India n d Hindu Kush valley in Afghanistan...d game characters have been drawn artistically as well...but d sound effects didn't appeal much to me.. even though d background score have been given by the famous Budapest Orchestra n Choir Co., the characters' voice have been pretty comical...especially in India where d guards on being suspicious, shout out "Kali Zindabad, Ab Tu Marega..!!"...c’mon, why the heck they need to say "Kali Zindabad"?? just shoot dude..!!!
Another thing which I've been unable to understand is, when Agent 47 can usually switch onto any attire available, then during the Kuala Lumpur mission, why the heck he was unable to wear the female bodyguard's swimsuit?? Ok...now I think I'm being comical over here... But 1 thing is surely to be appreciated, no matter how d conditions be, our hero always folds back the dress and keep it nicely, ready to be worn whenever he may need it again… :o)
By the way, Agent 17 who was hired to kill our hero at St. Petersburg...was he a twin brother of 47??coz they looked the same... well, maybe yeah, they cud be one of those 'Kumbh ke mele mein bichde hue bhai'..!! or maybe, d agency hires only those assassins who look like 47 for their popularity sake!! or maybe, d agency has dis criteria for all its agents to undergo a plastic surgery so dat they all look like a product of d same institution..!! or maybe d agency has started a part-time cloning business too..!!
Overall, it’s a nice game...and before finishing off I would like to share a famous quote from a Shakespearean play (Twelfth Night) -
"If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken and so die."
To tell you d truth, dis game had been a substitute to d depression n dullness in me which was caused due to d series of unfortunate events I passed through lately...not only its been a good time-pass but it helped me to bring out d child in me, to revive d excitement n enthusiasm dat seemed to b lost in eternity..!!!
